TOMASZ ROSENWERTH

Biography

 

Tomasz Rosenwerth is a young and bold physiotherapist who graduated with a BSc in Physiotherapy from the University of Cape Town in 2020. He is currently completing his MSc in Exercise and Sports Physiotherapy at UCT.

In 2021 Tomasz completed his Community Service at Nala Hospital in Bothaville, Freestate, involving himself in many community projects, at the high school and working with the disability centres in the area. He also took great interest in the Casualty centre at the hospital, assisting the doctors wherever possible. During this time he also completed his Level 1 and 2 Dry Needling course.

After Community Service he immediately set up his own practice and is working alongside Mike Van Rheede, at the Sports Rehab Centre. He is concurrently working as a physiotherapist for the University of Cape Town Rugby Club, understudying Mike with the Ikey Tigers.

Tomasz has always expressed a keen interest in sports related injuries having played rugby for the Ikey Tigers between 2017 and 2020. The experience gained is his involvement on both sides of high level competitive sport, as a player and physio, have developed his interests and knowledge through practical application.

Tomasz has always believed in taking care of the mind as much as the body when looking after patients. Making sure any fears or anxiety are addressed through thorough and comprehensive treatments and getting to know patients on a personal level.

  • MSc Exercise and Sports Physiotherapy Candidate to graduate in 2024
